Flying Lead System and Advance Flying Lead
FSP’s Flying Lead System provide the fluid, signal and power transmission between subsea modules and internally at the subsea modules. The Flying lead’s accommodate a variety of requirements and function with respect to capacity, ratings and functions including Hydraulic Flying Leads, Integrated Flying Leads for subsea control and Process flying leads for typical gas lift and MeOH/MEG injection. The FSP Flying Lead System is designed for minimum 30 years, up to 3000 metre water depth and designed to a minimum operating temperature of -18°C and a maximum operating temperature of +121°C (+95 °C for thermoplastic hoses).
FSP’s Advanced Flying Lead System relocates critical items including valves and instruments from the heavy subsea modules to the Flying Lead head. This offers a low cost and efficient solution to maintenance and access to critical components. On the AFLS the Flying Leads are easy retrievable items and the interventions are performed by standard ”low cost” intervention vessels with an ROV spread. This is an attractive solution from operational and maintenance point of view. Retrieving the valves/instruments in case of failure, is much more cost effective and developing subsea modules can be conducted with less costly components.
